Kara is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist (or “Speech Therapist”). Her focus is on Professional Communication, Speech & Voice Enhancement, accent modification and Speech-Language Rehabilitation. She is currently the Senior Associate at SpeechScience International where she provides services in the areas of:

-Professional communication skills 

-Accent clarity 

-Voice enhancement 

-Stuttering and fluent speech 

-Lisping and speech sound production difficulties 

-Social communication and confident communication training 

-Medical speech and language rehabilitation for adults (often covered through health insurance

Kara holds a Masters of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto and holds many advanced certifications, including Pronouncing English as a Second Language. 

As a member of the SpeechScience team, Kara has gained extensive experience working with both North American and internationally educated professionals in all aspects of communication. She has also played a leading role in the creation of third-party-funded adult communication health programs, operating in both hospital and community settings. Additionally, she has expertise in providing accent modification speech therapy to further enhance the communication skills of her clients.

Kara takes a fresh and innovative approach to communication training for adults through integrating principles from adult education, scientific research, and her natural talent for fostering the human connection. She believes that professional success and personal well-being are firmly rooted in communication, including accent modification Toronto. Kara is known to be flexible and holistic in her approach, willing to take on any obstacle to promote her clients' success across their unique endeavors.
